ERI's distinctive cold cathode-driven X-ray tube is developed by a proprietary CNT technology. This technology combines with the unique proprieties of high conductivity and structural robustness of CNT, which produces the most efficient field emission source for X-ray. Under the vacuum environment, the CNT-based cold cathode can stand up to 2,000 degrees Celsius while maintaining the thermal stability. For various application purposes, the ERI's core CNT-based tube can be divided into reflection type X-ray tube and transmission type X-ray tube.
